Your responsibilities and Impact working as a Commercial Director:
- Develop sales strategies, policies, and objectives for the Iberia Business Unit, in line with the company's overall policy. Set targets for volume, turnover, and profitability and create budgets and procedures to achieve them.
- Contribute to the development, monitoring, and control of the overall business strategy, ensuring that sales initiatives are aligned with the company's goals.
- Initiate and implement new business ideas to increase sales and revenue, and identify suitable channels for current and new products.
- Negotiate contracts with key customers and ensure that agreements are commercially viable.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects.
- Work with Area Managers and HR to develop a human resources strategy for the sales team, ensuring that resources are available to deliver the business strategy and that career development and succession planning are facilitated.
- Monitor budget results by profit centers, analyzing shortfalls, and developing strategic solutions to address budgeting issues.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Services teams to ensure a supportive internal business environment.
- Prepare commercial files for validation by the General Manager, including loan committee, commercial proposals, and release orders.
- Present sales results and efforts to the management board.
- Contribute to the budget process and the 5-year plan for the Business Unit.
- Master's degree in Business Management, Sales, or equivalent
- Experience in the motor oil/lubricants industry is desirable
- Experience in international business
- Strong experience in team management
- Native Spanish speaker, Proficiency in English; knowledge/fluency of French would be a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of CRM Dynamics, SAP, and other ERP systems
- Knowledge of the domestic and international sales environment
- Ability to clearly and openly communicate with passion, optimism, and pride
- Ability to manage a budget and anticipate the financial impact of new decisions
- Ability to deal with organizational complexity, internal and external stakeholders
