Your responsibilities and impact working as a IT Manager will be: 

- Leading a team of GTS Analysts, engaging, empowering and enabling them to deliver a high quality and customer IT support experience
- Coaching and training team members under the principles of technical proficiency, customer engagement, and end to end support and to develop a culture of ownership and responsibility
- Providing the framework, implementing processes, monitoring and analysis to support those aims
- Defining, developing and communicating the practices and processes necessary for effective service management to improve IT Services
- Effectively managing the GTS activities and organize their day-to-day activity and priorities
- Acting as liaison to senior stakeholders during major incidents
- Working with Tier 1, 2 & 3 support teams for Applications and Infrastructure to review, agree and implement permanent solutions for Problem records
- Managing relationships at all levels of the support and operational businesses in order to promote the values of collaboration and the customer first approach
- Measuring effectiveness and productivity of GTS Analysts through providing goals/KPI’s and creating surveys and feedback mechanisms
- Training, coaching and mentoring GTS Analysts in their career development and performance reviews
- Overseeing team member activities and contributing to and obtaining any required or relevant training material for GTS personnel, including cross-training/upskilling of all team members
- Scheduling shift patterns and leave requests (as a minimum)
-  Assisting in system upgrades (including testing, training etc)
- Being responsible for running security checks on the business as requested
- Being responsible for ensuring that GTS and the entire Service Desk are complying with previously agreed audit controls and measures
- Contributing to the Business Continuity Plan for Continental Europe

Skills, experiences, and interests you need to succeed in this role:

- You have a fluent level of English
- You are based in Barcelona with NIE 
- You have at least 2/3 years’ experience working within a service desk environment
- You have valuable experience of managing a team in an IT or technical function
- You have experience with Service logging tools
- You have knowledge of Windows XP and 7, Citrix environment, including networking components, services, and user profiles
- You have understanding of Service Management – in particular, request fulfilment, problem, and incident management
- You have experience with any Active Directory, Windows Terminal Services, Citrix Metaframe, Thin Client Terminals, Database Systems, Exchange and Office 365 is a plus
- You are organized, detail oriented, taking initiative, and independent
- You are able to travel internationally as required by the Business
