Your responsibilities and impact as a Sales Executive:

  • Developing direct customer relationships with leading terminals by deeply understanding potential customers' business needs, the benefits of the offered solutions, and the technical language applied in the container terminal industry.
  • Managing the entire sales process from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Collaborating closely with potential customers to build business cases based on specific KPIs (solution-oriented selling).
  • Preparing high-quality presentations and proposals.
  • Autonomously navigating through large complex organizations and stakeholders to discover purchase objections and identify the right decision-makers.
  • Effectively managing a large number of opportunities at different stages, with sales cycles ranging from 3 to 18 months.
  • Developing and implementing a strategic sales plan to achieve quarterly objectives and annual quotas.

Skills, qualifications, and interests needed to succeed in this role:

  • Fluency in both Dutch and English at a professional level.
  • Located near Rotterdam with the possibility of a hybrid format presence at the headquarters.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in B2B sales with a proven track record of selling enterprise solutions, preferably within shipping, oil and gas, manufacturing, or other capital-intensive sectors.
  • Proven experience in developing and successfully negotiating enterprise agreements during long sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Strong intrinsic motivation, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid changes associated with a fast-growing company.
  • Able and willing to travel regularly worldwide to meet potential customers.
  • Proficient in creating PowerPoint presentations and conducting high-quality business analyses in Excel.
