We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist in the field of AI for one of our international clients with an office in Barcelona. Are you passionate about data and technology and ready to work in a team full of sharp analytical minds; then take a look at this opportunity!

In this position you will build various Artificial Intelligence products for clients together with your team of Junior and Senior Data Scientists. This is done in two different ways: by providing clients with the product they need, and by working in AI laboratories to develop prototypes as part of R&D initiatives. As a Principal Data Scientist, you will take the lead of the projects: you will be the face of the project to clients, and also within the company. 

Your responsibilities and impact working as a Senior Data Scientist will be:

• Being the project lead of multiple initiatives
• Defining the data science modeling strategy and advising on the coding approach
• Leading multiple multidisciplinary teams of Data Scientists and Developers and defining the team’s priorities
• Leading daily stand-up meetings and sprint planning sessions
• Managing team capacity
• Resolving conflicts across the functions of the team (DevOps/AI/DB/FE/BE..)
• Interacting with the clients and understanding the challenges they face, their needs, and their data

Skills, qualifications, and interests you need to succeed in this role:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Science
• 6+ years of experience with Python, experience in R and SQL are a plus. This includes package building, object-oriented programming. APIs, AWS Lambda, and Step Functions are a bonus
• 6+ years of experience in Machine-Learning methodologies
• Minimum C1 level of English
• Experience in leading and planning of multiple projects
• Being able to quickly adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
• Having a background in data science consulting or in product development
• A Master in Data Science or Machine Learning, or AWS Cloud Experience are a bonus
