Are you a motivated salesperson that is ready to independently take over a new market? Our client is an international LED light manufacturer that is looking for a Business Development Representative that can unlock the French market for them. It is a B2B position where your main focus will be industrial manufacturers. Our clients´ headquarters are in China, with a large and expanding European market. For this role, you will be expected to travel – both within Europe and between Europe and China. Your responsibilities include lead generation and account management: expanding the clientele and making sure existing clients are properly taken care of. Interested to learn more? Although the position is remote, you are required to be located in France.

Your responsibilities and impact working as Business Development Representative will be:
  • Highlighting the top potential LED customers in target markets and providing information about their potential and opportunities for partnerships
  • Communicate effectively on a daily basis with both clients in the EU and Sales in China to ensure clear understanding of customers need
  • Contacting relevant LED businesses including new customers, past customers, and existing customers
  • Providing support to the sales team and understanding the customer requirements
  • Planning and managing cost effective and beneficial business trips to maximize the visibility of General Lighting within France by choosing and preparing successful customer visits
Skills, qualifications, and interests you need to succeed in this role:
  • Understanding the main target LED markets in France and Europe
  • 13 years of experience of sales/business development, preferable in a relevant field
  • Effective and strong communication and the ability to make continuous use of technology to improve sales performance
  • Being able to prioritize tasks to devote the appropriate time to strategic areas of importance
  • A degree in Engineering/Business is a plus
  • Willing to travel in France (60%) and willing and suitable to travel to China
  • Native level of French, and a minimum C1 level of English (both written and oral)
