The Role: GL Accountant (German Speaker)
The GL Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. This role plays a key part in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
Your Tasks include:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Review and analyze general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support audits by providing requested information and preparing audit schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Participate in the implementation and improvement of internal controls and accounting processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned by management.
- Fluent in German and English
- Degree in Finance or related field
- Proven work experience as a GL Accountant or similar accounting role
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles
- SAP knowledge preferred
